WHAT IS WONDERGROUND?
Originaly in 1999 Wonderground started of as an independent record label. It was a huge expense with very little reward. Then in 2000 Wonderground was my home, a four bedroom wharehouse space complete with a recording studio, practice area, and a huge garage converted into an underground all ages venue for independent artists. It was awesome for about a year, and then like the label it fell apart before ever reaching it's full potential. Now Wonderground is a cable access show, witch is awesome because now I don't have to invest any money into it, well thats not entirely true, I spent 3,000 dollars on a computer to edit on, cuz I didn't want to use the dinosaur technology that the cable stations had to offer. I am still in debt, and I have never made any money off of Wonderground, and I really don't care if I ever do. But anyways, now it dosent cost any money, just time. I guess Wonderground is just my way of taking music, art, films, things that I think are hella cool, and exposing those things to who ever is watching. Plus it gives me motivation to constantly surround myslef with beautiful and interesting people and events. It challenges me to do something creative every month. Plus I can promote my own band (SCREAMCLUB). Even when I feel like it's a big drag and I don't know why I do it, somewhere I feel like even if I never see it first hand, I do believe doing it has to be having some kind of positive effect somewhere.

WHAT TYPE OF SHOW IS THIS???
I consider it a punk rock variety show. Most important is that we try to keep it totally independent. As far as musical content, we have featured videos by BUSDRIVER, PEACHES, FREINDS FOREVER, WESLEY WILLIS, SCREAMCLUB, TRACY AND THE PLASTICS, JULIE RUIN, BEAT HAPPENING, THE NEED, THE SPICE GIRLS, NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK, MR T, THE CRAMPS, THE GERMS, and lots and lots more. We don't do many interviews but we have spoken with PUCK (from the realworld SF), LLOYD KAUFMAN (troma), BUSDRIVER, WESLEY WILLIS, and PEACHES. We've even done spoken word. Once in a while we feature RADICAL POLITICS, we've even done an expose on SMASH CLUB. We are the EYES and EARS of todays REVOLUTION.
